Tim Schmidt (born 14 March 1986) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League.Originally from South Australian National Football League club West Adelaide, Schmidt was drafted by Sydney with pick number 29 at the 2003 AFL Draft and made his debut on 29 July 2006 against Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in Adelaide.Schmidt suffered a succession of injuries while at Sydney and announced his retirement at the end of the 2009 AFL season.Schmidt still resides in Sydney and in 2013 started an elite kicking and skills academy, 'Kicking Dynamics'. Where he works with future AFL prospects and the likes of QBE Sydney Swans Academy and Greater Western Sydney Juniors AFL squads.
